MEET DALIA
New Leadership Delivering Results for Our Schools
Born in Argentina, Dalia and her family moved to Virginia when she was six years old. She enrolled in ESL classes in Fairfax County Public Schools, where she learned English and excelled in school, graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology and going on to study at Tufts University. Since graduating, Dalia has traveled the globe helping organizations bring people together to find innovative solutions to some of the world’s biggest problems like poverty and hunger. Today, she’s using years of experience teaching languages in Washington, D.C. and Virginia schools to help students expand their communication skills and world views.
Dalia knows Fairfax County schools are some of the best in the country, but she also knows that students need more than textbook-based learning to be successful in today’s world. They need to know how to work collaboratively to solve problems, be prepared to compete in a global job market with an understanding of other cultures and the latest technologies, and have more opportunities for real-world learning outside of the classroom. That’s why on the School Board, Dalia will fight to make sure our kids are globally ready. She will offer a forward-thinking approach to our budget that gets more done with less so all Fairfax County kids can succeed. She will also ensure that we hire, train, and retain the best teachers.
Vote Dalia Palchik for Fairfax County School Board on November 3rd.
