MEET DALIA
Proven Community Leader
Since her election in 2015, Dalia has represented Providence District as a member of the Fairfax County School Board. The Board is the largest in Virginia, and provides oversight and leadership to over 14,000 educators, 188,000 students, a budget of $2.9 billion, the largest bus system in Virginia with over 1,600 buses, and over 200 buildings.
Dalia currently serves as Chair of the Public Engagement Committee, liaison to the Planning Commission Schools Committee, liaison to the Minority Student Achievement Oversight Committee, and she previously served on the Audit Committee and the Foundation for FCPS.
Additionally, Dalia served on the board of the Woodburn Village Condo Association.
With her experience and deep understanding of Fairfax County, Dalia will continue to collaborate with members of the community to foster the growth and development happening here in Fairfax.
Originally born in Argentina, Dalia and her family moved to Virginia and to Fairfax County when she was six years old. Dalia went to FCPS schools and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology. She studied Anthropology and French at Tufts University in Boston.
